As an athlete where does confidence come from? Where does confidence come from as a child? As an athlete, the answer may vary. However, as a child, the answer is often from our parents. Setting an example for our kids with our confidence is incredibly important for our young athlete’s self-esteem. Showing our young aspiring minds positive self-esteem for ourselves will rub off on our kids.
“Self-confidence is the first requisite to great undertakings.” – Samuel Johnson
As an athlete, there are many ways to build the confidence needed to perform at top performance. Work ethic is a major component of self-confidence. Refusing to make excuses, sticking to thought-out schedules, tracking results, working hard, and staying motivated.
Having a plan, sticking to it, and never losing sight of the fun that basketball can bring.
We want to ensure all our athletes are filled with the confidence they need to perform their absolute best, on and off the court. Our Weekly Keys program gives that stability to our young athletes. Click here to sign up for your athlete today.
